PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – With unusually high wind gusts, PGA National, host of the 2011 Honda Classic, showed its teeth on Thursday. Three over par was better than average for the first time since last year’s US Open at Pebble Beach. Play was suspended due to darkness as the conditions caused frustration and slow play among the competitors. Spencer Levin somehow managed to shoot a 3 under par 67 for a one shot, first round lead over 5 others. (Full story) (Leader board)
